Look how catching this image is! Gerhard Nieuwoudt from the Krugersdorp Kamera club has achieved a strinking image through a combination of fine camera skills and strong image editing.

His coments were "I have tried to create something mystical here. I tried to keep the eyes real and played with the rest of the face in PS" Well done Gerhard. This image has earned you the PSSA.co.za front page image of the month.

WHY SHOULD WE JOIN A CAMERA CLUB?

The acquisition of one’s first camera is often a milestone in one’s life. If the bug gets you, it becomes a hobby, if not you remain a happy snapper, a recorder of events in your family life. If it becomes a hobby the bug bites in two ways, it becomes an overwhelming challenge to produce only the best to make you into a fanatic and to challenge your ego or it induces you to buy the very best of camera equipment so as to be able to challenge other photographers by sheer weight of successes and splendor.

Well all these challenges come to us not only in photography by in many aspects of life.

A new challenge for all Clubs in South Africa now is to send in their winning monthly image. There will be a monthly Club winning image which will be on the web site and then there will be the Club Image of the Year. Your Regional Director will assist you all in this Competition. All Club winning images for March must be submitted.

The stand at the Hobby X-Po for PSSA unfortunately did not take place due to various circumstances which were difficult for us as an Organization to fulfill. The big Photographic EXPO being held this year from 15-17 October at the Coca Cola Dome Johannesburg again will give us even more coverage than last year. It is now full steam ahead for this one.

Continue to support all our Salons which is also challenging our photography and motivating us as members in our photography. Keep shooting those stunning images that we see and experience in PSSA.
